I'm back.

Okay, dear friends and fellow collar lovers.

I am *tentatively* announcing that I am willing to begin making collars again with a few caveats.

1. Please be understanding of my time constraints. I will respond to messages, emails, and facebook posts as quickly as I can. But I am a student in my last semester of law school, and I really truly do apologize if I am not as prompt as should be.

2. Please be understanding of my time constraints. When you have decided on and let me know what special collar you'd like for me to make for you, I will do my absolute best to have it to you in a timely fashion. This could mean waiting 2 weeks or so. I would rather no one wait any longer than that, I don't like to keep people in suspense but...please be understanding, just in case I have to shoot you a message saying your collar will take longer than I originally thought.

And 3. Please understand that I unwillingly had to change and raise my prices. Prices for the supplies to make these collars have gone up, and so I've had to raise mine. But I have tried to stick to prices that I think are fair.

    New prices are as follows:
1 inch wide buckle collars- $11 total
1 inch wide martingale collars- $15 total

1.5 inch wide buckle collars- $20
1.5 inch wide martingale collars- $25 total

all prices include standard shipping

With all that being said, I am now OPEN again for you to send inquiries, questions, and orders. My preferred way to hear from you is via email. Marwagenaar@yahoo.com

Thank you, friends, if you are still out there and interested in what I have to offer in collars. You are why I am anxious to return to being crafty.

A temporary end...

Sadly, being a full time law student is more than I bargained for. I simply don't usually have the time or energy to focus on filling collar orders anymore. So I'm making it official that I'm taking the next 2 years or so off from making collars so I can focus completely on my studies or enjoying my free time when I have it. I have appreciated all of my loyal customers, new and old, in the past couple of years. I'm not saying I won't start up again in the future! I am just needing the break for now.

Check out my new hobbies I've taken up for now. Lure coursing and conformation showing! Keep up to date with me and my dogs by heading over to my brand new site, Compelled by Canines at
www.compelledbycanines.weebly.com

Thank you, friends, for all your support through the years!

Collars by Marissa is pleased to announce that I am now offering 1 inch wide martingale collars! With the same strength and quality as my larger martingales, these 1 inch wide martingales are perfect for smaller dogs or dogs with shorter necks who just aren't quite big enough for a 1.5 inch wide martingale collar, but need to wear something a little more secure on their necks. Great for small but tough pullers, or small dogs with narrow heads!

1 Collar- $12 (includes 3-5 day shipping cost in the USA)

1.5 inch wide Martingale collars

are now available!!!

Since January 1, I have now begun selling 1.5 inch wide martingale collars in addition to my 1 inch wide buckle collars. These collars are sturdy, washable, and very nice for your special dog. Each one is a little different in design from the next so if you're looking for unique, I can help you out. These collars are adjustable in size as well. At this time, I am only able to offer martingale collars to dogs with neck sizes of 14 inches and larger.

In addition to the fabric choices I offer for the martingale collars to be made out of, the option is open for customers to send in fabric they would like a martingale collar made out of for their dog, just as the option is open for buckle collar orders. So if you're not seeing a fabric in my selection that you like but you own some fabric that you would love a collar out of, let me know! This will reduce the price of your martingale collar by $1.50 off the total price! Please e-mail me at marwagenaar@yahoo.com to visit about this option!

I take pride in the quality of my martingale collars' strength and durability, but I do ask that owners of dogs that pull strongly on walks consider their dog's safety when deciding whether to use my collars to walk your dog with. I have NEVER had a martingale collar nor buckle collar break thus far and STRONG pullers have been walked using my collars, but I advise each customer to consider their dog's size and strength when using these collars.

About my Buckle Collars

The traditional buckle collars I make are adjustable, snap together, with sturdy D-rings on them for tags and leashes to clip on. If you want something more causal than the martingale collars I make, these are ideal and a great price too!

For now, the only width I can make the buckle collars in is 1 inch. My collars can be made for dogs with neck sizes 12 inches and larger. Sorry to small dog owners, my hardware for the collars is just too big for really little dogs!

I have many fabric choices, as well as ribbon. If you don't see what you're looking for, shoot me an e-mail and we can talk about more options. :)

I am very proud of how tough my collars are, but I will say this in advance. I do NOT advise using these collars to walk a large dog who pulls a lot or very hard. I've never had a collar break yet, but I'd feel awful if someone's dog pulled hard, broke the collar, ran away, and ended up lost or hurt because of me.

Prices

Each Domestic (within the USA) collar order is $8.00. Period. That includes everything. :)
Shipping, hardware, fabric, and labor. Now for $8.00, that will include the cheapest shipping, usually taking about 4-5 days. And delivery confirmation as well; I'll send you the tracking number so you know where your order is.

International collar orders will cost $16 per collar.
I do not like to raise my prices but with the cost of shipping orders outside the country, unfortunately, I have to do so.

If you would like me to find special fabric aside from what I already have in my selection, I'll do my best to find what best fits your taste and what you want. Feel free to e-mail me and inquire Special orders are $10.

*If you find a fabric at your local fabric store that you just love and would really like to have a collar out of it, e-mail me! You can send me a small section of the fabric (I only need 12 inches), and I will make the collar out of that fabric AND credit you with $1.50 toward your collar order, making your finished product only cost $6.50. :) *
